Green light for Crans-Montana races

[Translate to Englisch:]

In less than 10 days, the FIS European Cup will see three speed events take place on the National piste. On this day of snow control, the FIS experts were able to confirm the good conditions prevailing on the entire track.

‘The amount of snow is sufficient, with between 80 and 160cm of artificial snow covering the entire track. There is also enough snow in the fall zones,’ says Hans Pieren, FIS technical delegate and consultant for the Crans-Montana events.

As Didier Défago, CEO of the Crans-Montana 2027 Association, explains, this official confirmation is proof that the snow cover has been well prepared since the start of the winter. ‘From the very first cold nights, our teams and the ski lift company have been working hand in hand to prepare a solid base that now allows us to look forward to the 2025 races with confidence. Preparations are continuing and now it's a question of perfecting the surface to ensure a great show for everyone.’

Crans-Montana will host a super-g on February 10, a downhill training run on February 11, then two downhill races on February 12 and 13, 2025. These races will all start from Bella Lui and the finish line will be located on the slopes, at the Houlès for the super-g and just before the Etoile for the downhills.
