Are you planning to admire the heroes of the World Championships in Crans-Montana this weekend? Perfect! Everything has been arranged to make your visit easier.

This year, with the men's competition returning to the Haut-Plateau for the first time since 2012, we have prepared top-notch services for you. Here’s how to make the most of it:

Use public transport, which is free from Sierre! Take advantage of the funicular or direct buses that will run continuously to Crans-Montana. However, be sure to allow extra time, as many fans are expected. Also, note that Sierre train station is well connected to Switzerland’s major railway stations. Consider taking the train – it’s easy and eco-friendly!

Stop in Sierre. Several roads leading to Crans-Montana will be closed this weekend, and no parking is available for the spectators in the area. No worries! Stop in Sierre. A parking lot has been set up in the valley next to the train station and is available for a daily fee of CHF 5.-. We recommend reserving your spot now to avoid long queues on-site.

Walk – it’s the most efficient option. The distances between the funicular station, the finish stadium, and the Ycoor Fan Zone are short. To avoid waiting times, walking is the best way to get around. Plus, it’s always pleasant to enjoy the sunshine on the Haut-Plateau!

Plan ahead to make the most of your visit. Make sure to arrive early! A huge crowd is expected throughout the weekend in Crans-Montana. To make your movements easier, allow extra time. Free transport services start at 6:30 a.m. from Sierre. Many activities will take place in the various Fan zones, so don’t be afraid to arrive early—it’s the best way to enjoy the event!

No ticket ? Go to the Fan zone Ycoor or Houlès. If you have a ticket, no problem—head to the designated area. However, without a ticket, you won’t be able to access the finish area Barzettes or the Vermala area. But you can still enjoy the event for free! To follow the skiers’ performances, head to the Fan zone Ycoor in the center of Montana, which is free to access. A giant screen will broadcast the races, and there will be entertainment and food&drinks stands on-site. The same applies to the slopes (for skiers only), where you can reach the Fan zone Houlès with a ski pass and enjoy a breathtaking view of the race.
