Everything you need to know before coming to Crans-Montana
The White Circus is setting up its big top in Crans-Montana this week. On this occasion, we are sharing some useful tips on how to reach the Haut-Plateau. As last year, a comprehensive transport concept is in place.
Choose public transport
Public transport is free from Sierre. Take advantage of the continuous bus services or the traditional funicular, running every 15 minutes from as early as 06:00 for early starters. They will take you to the various spectator areas. Please allow extra time, as large crowds are expected. Sierre railway station is served from across Switzerland. Travelling by train is easy and environmentally friendly.
In Sierre, everything is in place to welcome you
No spectator parking will be available in the resort and traffic restrictions will be in place. We therefore encourage you to stop in the valley. In Sierre, a parking facility is available for the modest fee of CHF 5 per day. Reserve your space now at Plaine Bellevue, just a five-minute walk from the funicular. Click here to book.
Walking, the best option
From the funicular station, the entire resort can be reached on foot in just a few minutes, with no waiting time. Around fifteen minutes of walking is enough to reach the finish area at Barzettes Stadium. You keep complete freedom of movement, and it is also a great opportunity to familiarise yourself with the venue ahead of the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships Crans-Montana 2027.
Reinforced services
From Friday to Sunday, buses and funiculars operate with extended schedules, until 16:00, to take you to the different spectator sites and bring you back to the valley after the races. Later in the day, please rely on the SBB platforms, app and website, for travel planning.
Plan ahead
The competitions are highly anticipated and closely followed. To avoid being caught in queues, arrive as early as possible. Sunday is sold out. Please only access spectator areas if you hold a valid ticket. For the other days, a limited number of tickets are still available online only.
